Let me guessāyour calendar looks like this:
Ā š¢ Zoom call at 9:00
Ā š¢ Zoom call at 10:00
Ā š¢ Zoom call at 11:00
Ā No break. No breathing. Just go-go-go. š
That used to be me too.
I thought I had to jump from one call to the next like I was on a Formula 1 pit crew. šļøšØ
But hereās the truth:
Ā Your brain needs time to catch up.
Ā You are not a robot.
Ā You are a real human, and humans need 1ā2 minutes to pause.
Hereās what I do now between meetings:
Ā š§ I breatheāslowly, 3 times.
Ā š I look out the window or just relax my eyes.
Ā ā I drink some water or tea.
Ā š¤ I let my brain reset before the next meeting.
Thatās it.
Just 1ā2 minutes, and I feel better. I speak better. I make better decisions. Even my team notices the difference.
Why this works:
Ā In sports, athletes rest between matches.
Ā In music, singers rest their voices.
Ā In business, your mind needs the same care.
⨠So give yourself permission to pause.
